Other Class 3A regional sites are at Stroud, Madill, and Watonga.
Ripley will be at Luther for a Class 2A regional track meet. The Warriors will be joined by Caddo, Canadian, Colbert, Community Christian, Depew, Drumright, Fort Towson, Haworth, Hennessey, Howe, Konawa, Morrison, Northeast, Preston, Quinton, Savanna, Silo, Talihina, and Wewoka.
Oologah, Cache, and Watonga will also host Class 2A regional meets.
Luther will also host a Class A regional meet that will include Agra, Carney, and Coyle. There will be 34 other teams competing in that regional meet. Glencoe will be at Chisholm for another Class A regional meet. There will be 22 other teams at that event.
Laverne and Okeene will also host Class A regional meets.
Qualifiers will advance to their respective state track meets May 3-4. The Class A and 2A meet will be at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City. Ardmore High School will host the Class 3A and 4A meet.
In Class 6A, Stillwater will be in regional action at Ponca City on Saturday, May 4. Other teams at that meet are Bartlesville, Broken Arrow, Enid, Mustang, Putnam City North, and Sand Springs.
The other regional meet sites are Tahlequah, Edmond North, and Norman High School.
Yukon High School will host the Class 5A and 6A state meet on May 10-11.
In a final tune-up before the upcoming regional meet, senior McKenzie Stanford placed in three of the four events she competed in to pace the P-T track teams at last Friday's Konawa Invitational Meet.
Stanford finished first in the high jump equaling a season-best of 5-2. Second place finishes were recorded in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.50 seconds and the shot put with a throw of 34-10.
Stanford also competed in the 200-meter dash.
Elsewhere for the Lady Demons, Bailey Wensler was fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:40.70. Wensler also ran in the 400-meter dash.
Rylee Craycraft was fifth in the 800-meter run crossing the finish line in 2:41.45. She too competed in the 400-meter dash.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Kayla Wilkinson, Faith Velega, Bailee Hall, and Niki Shoemaker finished seventh with a 1:02.73. The 4x200-meter group was eighth with a 2:11.90. That team consisted of Reagan O'Donnell, Wilkinson, Hall, and Shoemaker.
Velega also participated in the 100-meter dash.
In the boys' division, John Sasser placed in two sprint events to pace the Demons.
Sasser finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.67 seconds. He was fourth in the 200-meter dash with a 24.13. Sasser also competed in the 400-meter dash.
Cody Waitt finished fourth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:54.38. Waitt also ran in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter dash.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Shawn Crosby, Nick Huckabay, Rodney Wilkerson, and Jarod Kimber finished seventh with a time of 48.26 seconds. The 4x200-meter relay team consisting of the same four finished in sixth place with a 1:51.60.
Crosby also ran in the 100-meter dash and Kimber in the 400-meter dash.
P-T also competed in a meet at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee last Tuesday with only two tracksters placing.
Stanford garnered first place honors in the high jump with a leap of 5-2. She also finished in sixth place in the shot put with a throw of 32-5.5.
Sasser was fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11:46.
