On Saturday, May 11, Perkins postal carriers will once again join their peers across the country in the nation's largest single-day food drive. Items collected in Perkins as part of the 21st Annual Stamp Out Hunger event will go directly to the Perkins First United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
You can help by leaving a sturdy bag containing nonperishable foods next to your mailbox prior to your normal mail delivery on Saturday, May 11. Local letter carriers will collect the donations as they deliver the mail and take them to the food pantry. Your donations will help the residents of Perkins and members of its churches who are struggling to put food on their tables every day.
Here's a list of items the food pantry currently needs. Please be sure to check expiration dates. The food pantry cannot take expired items.
