Orange Leaf Announces PCYS Pajama Drive

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt in Stillwater has announced a Pajama Drive to benefit Payne County Youth Services. The local store owner, Kim Underwood, chose Payne County Youth Services to be the recipient of the donations.

"Orange Leaf is an unconventional brand," stated Ms. Underwood, "so we wanted to do something different from the more traditional food or coat drive this holiday season. Memories of cozy pajamas during the winter months warm our souls. Through the Pajama Drive, Orange Leaf is hoping to help many youth in the Stillwater area stay a little warmer this winter. Sometimes it's the little simple things that can really make a difference."

Beginning on Friday, November 29 and running through Sunday, December 22, donations may be brought to the store, located at 506 N. Main Street in Stillwater. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 11:30 am - 10:30 pm; Friday, Saturday 11:30 am - 11:00 pm; Sunday 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Customers who donate one new pair of pajamas at the Stillwater Orange Leaf location will be rewarded with 3 oz. of free froyo in exchange for their donation.

"We are very excited and grateful to have been selected as the partner with Orange Leaf for this unique and fun drive," stated Janet Fultz, Executive Director at PCYS. "Our children and youth will certainly enjoy having new, cozy pajamas this Christmas. We will distribute donations to our shelter residents as well as those served through our out-patient services. We can't wait to see the different designs and styles that will bring joy to our kids."

"We selected Payne County Youth Services for this drive due to the agency's commitment to provide a safe, comfortable and protective environment for youth in the shelter as well as those who are served in other programs due to family crisis, abuse, neglect or other challenges," said Underwood.

Sizes needed at PCYS range from youth small to extra large, and adult small to 2X, for both males and females. A few children's pajamas will be needed, but the greatest need is for the youth sizes.
