Payne County's Fairest of the Fair competition is seeking contestants for the title of Payne County's Fairest of the Fair 2013.

Each year contestants of all ages compete at the Payne County Expo Center where the new Payne County's Fairest of the Fair are crowned.

The pageant commences Aug. 24, 2013, the weekend before the Payne County Fair begins on Aug. 27, 2013.

Payne County contestants ranging in ages from 5 to 18 years old are eligible to compete.

Four queens, one from each division, are crowned. The divisions are as follows: Princess, ages 5-7; Pre-Teen, ages 8-10; Teen, ages 11-14; and Miss, ages 15-18. Contestants will be judged on talent, stage presence, and onstage interview.

Duties of the queens vary throughout the year; they will be performing their talent, helping out with different community service projects and speaking to different venues around the Payne County area.

Other activities for the 2013 titleholder's will be participation in the OSU Homecoming parade, Stillwater and Cushing Christmas parades and the Old Settlers' Harvest Fest parade in Perkins; as well as different events throughout the Payne County area.

Entry into the competition is free, however, only a limited number of entries will be accepted for each of the four age divisions. Applications are processed on a first come fi rst serve basis.
