Kade Shelton, 17, of Boy Scout Troop 20, Stillwater Oklahoma was honored at an Eagle Court of Honor at the First Presbyterian Church, April 7, 2013.
Kade began his scouting career in first grade as a Tiger Cub in Den 1, Pack 42 at Richmond Elementary School. In fifth grade, Kade earned the Arrow of Light, the only Cub Scout badge that may be worn on the Boy Scout Uniform.
In 2005, Kade crossed over to Boy Scouts and joined Troop 20 under the leadership of Scoutmaster Lyle Eastman.
Kade progressed through the ranks of Scouting earning merit badges and serving his troop in different leadership roles. He has also been active in The Order of the Arrow, Scouting National Honor Society serving as Troop Representative for the Ema' O Mahpe Lodge.
For his Eagle service project, Kade designed and with the assistance of many scouts and scout supporters, built a bio-retention area at Lake McMurtry using native plants for water conservation and management.
Kade is a senior at Stillwater High School and the son of Connie and Kevin Shelton, Stillwater, grandson of Dale and Bonnie Shelton, Altus Oklahoma and Clyde and Sue Estes, Altus Oklahoma.
