Lula Maye Kifer, 79, died on Friday, May 17, 2013 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Norman Richmond officiating. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Lula was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on August 9, 1933 to Cecil George and Juanita Catherine (Thompson) Partridge.
She grew up in Agra, and graduated from Agra High School in the early 1951. On December 25, 1951, Lula married the love of her life, Ralph Don "Jack" Kifer Sr., in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Together they lovingly raised five children, and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his death in April 2009.
She was a member the Women of the Moose and the College of Regents, and was active most of her life in the Moose Lodge.
Lula retired from the Humpty/ IGA after 33 years as the office manager.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Ruth Ann Brennan; daughter, Judy Kay Kifer; and son, Gary Wayne Kifer. Lula is survived by her son, Billy M. Kifer, and his wife, Laurie; son, Donnie Kifer, and his wife, Cokie; son, Dana A. Kifer, and his wife, Carri; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; seven brothers, Gene, Bob, Jess, Jim, Kenneth, Virgil, and Boyd Partridge; two sisters, Dorothy Buser and Stella Hubbard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shelby Kifer, Jaden Kifer, Jordan Kifer, Nicholas Kifer, Harry Ballard and Matt Petre.
